I especially liked the one taken when you renewed your vows.

As to the photo of the Rotterdam in the fog, you didn't need to identify the port. It could just as well have been any of them!

Thanks for posting.

Really enjoyed your pictures, Grannynurse! They brought back many memories of places we have sailed to and places we will be going next July on the Maasdam. Thanks for sharing them with us...can't wait until July 2005!

Great photos! How did you like Torshavn? We were there in 2001 and thought it to be a very pleasant surprise! It looks like you had very good weather for Shetlands, Faroes and Akureyi - it overcast for us at those places! Brought back good memories. Thanks for sharing!

How nice to be back in those wonderful places, once again, by way of your pictures. Thank you for sharing.

Grannynurse,

Thanks so much for sharing your photos with us. We cannot wait until we board the Maasdam next July for a similar cruise.

If anyone is interested, I have 470 more. I didn't even include Isle of Man or Cornerbrook or St. Anthony. North Cape itself was so shrouded in fog that the pictures we took from the top are, well, foggy.
The Lap (Sammi) village didn't get in either, but since their gift shop items were labeled "made in China" I didn't think we were missing much, besides the reindeer were scrawny and very un-rudolpf.

We played ping pong with a couple from Brisbane almost every afternoon, hey I know it's a big country, just thought I'd mention it.

Your Maasdam itinerary is a beautiful combination of our 2003 and 2004 trips on the Rotterdam, you'll love it..the ports are very rustic, not great shopping ports, but marvelous scenery.

We didn't do very many HAL tours but the Callanish stones on the Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides is a great tour. I just saw a photo of the ring of Brogdar in the Orkneys, and it's almost identical to Callanish I got chills looking at it.

If there's anything else you'd like to see, I probably have it, just ask.

Grannynurse,

Thanks so much for the information about the Orkneys. It sounds such a wonderful way of doing a Transatlantic. If I have any questions closer to the time we leave I will ask away. We have friends in Brisbane but they weren't on the Rotterdam when you cruised.

At the moment we are preparing for our wonderful Black Sea cruise on the Prinsendam. We leave here a week today for a couple of days in Athens before boarding.

Jennie.

Myra,
Thanks for posting all your wonderful pictures. I really enjoyed them as they brought back wonderful memories of our recent cruise together. I would be interested in seeing more but that is probably because I have visited all these places. You take some great pictures!!!!!!!

grannynurse, what wonderful pictures. I am so glad you posted them. I know how long it takes to do up those albums and put titles under them. Seeing your pictures just makes me wish I could take longer vacations so we might do this cruise. Thanks so much for sharing them. All of you looked so great for formal night;)

GN...wondering if you got any pictures of the CC group on board, i.e., RuthC, Longtimecruiser and her mom, etc. If so would love to see them.

I'm sorry, we didn't even think to bring our camera to the CC meeting. I feel really dumb about my forgetting to do this. Maybe BobpatJ or Longtimecruiser, or RuthC, has some of the group. I know that someone must have taken some.

Liz, you already know what I look like; you don't need a picture posted!

Actually, I did take loads of pictures at the CC get-together, but I have no idea how to turn them into computer images and post them.
Some are glad for that.

Hi Myra:
I took a minute out from preparing for yet another hurricane to see what was new on the board. What a nice surprise to see the pictures you posted.
Last year's photos were great too. How I wish we were all back on board, raising our glasses in the Ocean Bar and nibbling at the snacks that Myra and Carlos had brought. After living in Florida for 40 years, having one house partially destroyed by Andrew and now waiting for Jeanne, I can say that I've had enough of hurricanes. I read once about a woman who used the QEII as her retirement home. Not a bad idea. I propose HAL set up a program for those of us who would rather be at sea than on shore.

I did take pictures at the CC get together, but I don't know how to post them. We never took a group photo, so what I have are CCers seated at the tables and the Food & Bev. Manager speaking.

I really enjoyed looking at your pictures as they brought back many pleasant memories. I especially liked the ones in and around Stavanger as I used to live there. Also, we were on the eastbound crossing of the Rotterdam in July so it was nice to see many of the other pictures as well.

Thanks for sharing.
