DH and I will be arriving in Ft. Lauderdale pretty early on the day of our next cruise. Is anyone aware of a waiting area for suite guests? Just wondering if any "non-sidewalk waiting" perks come along with a suite.
Thanks CC's in advance for your kind replys. Have a great day!

No. The doors to the Terminal do not open until around 11:00. They cannot let anyone in until all disembarking guests have picked up their luggage, cleared customs and left.

You could always get a taxi, go to one of the hotels, have the doorman hold your luggage and eat a nice breakfast. Then go to the terminal.

Would stop and eat before going to the Port. Try not to arrive befor 1115 am. Once inside the terminal there is a speecial checkin line for Suite Guests and a special waiting area.

I think Holland America has a luggage expess service that will take your luggage at the airport and bring it right to the ship. That would give you more freedom.

Haven't heard of that in years in Ft Lauderdale - maybe if you use their shuttle bus -- which is over priced.

Thank you everyone for great ideas - I checked on the express service on HAL website - reads as though it is just for disembarkation. Maybe HAL should think about something like the crown room service like Delta has. Oh well - it was worth a shot - honestly we are just so excited to be going it doesn't matter where we have to wait but it would be nice to wait in comfort....:o Thanks again - have a great night all.

I would suggest Hyatt Pier 66 for a nice breakfast. Great doormen there who I think would hold your luggage. It's 5-8 minutes from Port Everglades.

Other nearby hotels are Grande (formerly Marriott) which is right across bridge from Hyatt Pier 66.

Rennaissance Hotel is close by but have no idea if good breakfast and/or obliging doormen.

HAL no longer picks up luggage off carousels. Guests must claim their own luggage and take it.
