Has anyone done this excursion in Curacao? When booking directly through the Aquarium they ask if you are a cruise ship passenger, and if so, to book directly with them... My question is... How would they know if you were on a cruise or not?

Yes, I have posted this question on Curacao also, but the board is not large and no one has responded or even viewed.

Any advice??

HAL does not book the swim with the Dolphins for the Dolphin Academy. You must book it direct. Their site is

http://www.dolphin-academy.com/index.htm

You send in the form you fill out on line and they will send you back confirmation.

Ruth & I have done this one before and it is great. It is not in a pool. They have a barrier out and it is a large pond you swim in.

Check out our Pictures.

If have any questions ask us.

It does get you into the seaquarium for free...

Thanks so much... This excursion is listed with HAL. I was just getting ready to book this on the dolphin-academy site when it prompted me to tell them if I was a cruise ship passenger or not... they are contracted with the cruise lines that say I must book with them. BUT, my question is... how would they know that I am not staying in the Holiday Inn down the street? I would rather book with them direct, but would love to know if anyone has any info regarding their contract with the cruise lines?? I am going to go look at your pictures now:D Thanks! I can't wait to do this!

Any others with experience with this??

It is very strange, when I download the eBrochure, the Dolphin Encounter and the Dolphin Swim are listed on Curacao, but when I pull up my booking to make shore excursions, there is none listed. Anyone know why??

Thanks:)

I know they are listed on the master book but have never seen the "swim" on the ship selection. They have the "encounter" on the ship list.

I just left that part blank when we booked.

It is well worth the money....

My sister in law and I went to the marine park there on the day that the cruiseship arrived and wow what a deal we got. It was bogof !!!! no kidding for $40.00 each we did the dolfin encounter and spent 1 hour with a sealion and her trainer just us !!!! On top of that we had full access to the marine park. We could have done the swim instead of the encounter but I am not a good swimmer. Also they refunded the admission that we paid to get into the park because we paid to do excursions there. My husband and brother did a scubadiving tour with a tour guide private too !!!. Its worth it to take the gamble. We had a full day just $40.00 each. We usally do our own thing. Hope it works out for you.:)

Thanks everyone... I just sent off my request tonight to see if I can get a swim reservation. Does anyone know how far this is by taxi from the port?

Hey thanks! I just got my confirmation email! I am booked. Wooo hooo! I am going swimming with Dolphins! This is high on my list of "things to do before I die" list! I know they are going to have to pull me from the pool kicking and screaming because I won't want to leave:( They look so friggin cute!

We just booked this excursion too for our cruise in December! My wife is super-excited about swimming with dolphins again!

We swam with them in Florida at a park owned by Sea World called Discovery Cove. That was a fantastic time too.
