We are booking the Jolly Pirate. The tour ends around 3 but we don't leave port until 5:00. Does anyone have a recommendation for a beach bar? I know they dock near Moomba? bar. This bar accepts reservations for the beach or huts. Just want a place to have a cold beer and play in the water a bit more before heading back to the boat.

Everything you want right there at Moomba.

Just curious...I went on this excursion last year. The drinks flowed, it was a great time and I'd recommend it to anyone. If you get back to the beach @ 3 and the ship leaves @ 5 (back on @ 4:30), do you really want to spend that time @ another bar vs getting back to the pier?
We took the bus there and back and it was easily a 15 min wait for the bus and at least a 20 min ride back to the pier. IMHO, you might be cutting it a bit close.
Just something to think about...

Thank you both for the information
We will consider the timing didn't know how far away the ship was I had thought when I inquired with Jolly Pirate they said 10-15 minutes. So figured we had 1 hour before getting back to the ship and since I don't want to shop playing in the water sounded like a way to end the day. Wasn't really concerned about getting more alchohol as you indicated it is provided on the tour but usually beach bars have the best atmosphere to hang out in:D ok maybe one last beer;)

It will be 10 - 15 minutes from Palm Beach (MoomBa & Jolly Pirates) back to Oranestad via taxi. Bus will take longer because of the various stops.

Thanks for the info on the travel time
We would probably take a cab so we don't have to hassel with the bus or cut our time short. I assume cabs are plentiful around the hotels?

I assume cabs are plentiful around the hotels? You can just walk a short ways next door to the Holiday Inn and there are taxis lined up outside their lobby. When we were there in June after JP's there were four taxis.

Cool free chairs. The bar looks interesting and a nice way to end what seems to be a great trip on the JP
