Does anyone have a lunch menu for the pinnacle grill? I will on the Eurodam mid November and received a gift from my travel agent for the pinnacle grill. I have only heard wonderful comments about the food and cannot wait!

Thanks
Helene

You can definitely tell it has the Pacific Northwest touch. The only problem I have with the specialty restaurants is I want to try too many things at one meal because they all sound so good!

One can order as many side dishes as one wants, but a second entrée is going to bring a second surcharge.

Yes -- you can have crab cakes (they are tiny), soup and salad (comes before entree), then your entree and then dessert!! You can order as many of the sides as you want -- it's only when you order a second entree that you will be charged another fee.

Unless they've recently changed the hours of operation, the Pinnacle Grill is not open for breakfast.

The Pinnacle is only for breakfast for the PS, SA, SB and SC Delux passengers.

And the breakfast menu is the same as in the main dining room.

And the breakfast specials are the same in the Lido, dining room and Pinnacle.

Nothing special for breakfast.

I'm thinking several orders of those crabcakes would be down my alley as I otherwise grazed along. So, if I asked for them to be delivered as devoured, they'd oblige? ;)

I see no reason why you can't ask for a double order right away.

DH and I aren't big eaters -- and because of it DH will order the crab cakes and I will order the Northwest Clam Chowder soup -- which is way too much for me -- so I always ask for 2 soup spoons and a double dash of Tiopepe!! The Pinnacle crew know me and always oblige.

LOL ... if you can even finish one of the large steaks, combined with the sides and dessert, you're a rare find. :) I can't imagine being able to eat two.

By the way, that Porterhouse is huge! It could easily feed a family of four.

KK - thanks so much for posting! I'd forgotten that the Pinnacle offers lunch as well as their fantastic dinners.
We have a dinner reservation already made for our upcoming cruise in October - do you need to make a reservation for lunch on board? Is the Pinnacle open every day for lunch or just sea days?

In addition to the regular menu there is one additional starter, entree and dessert available each night. The second week of our Alaska cruise we had the grilled romaine salad at the Pinnacle. It is one of the best salads I have ever had.

You can not make a lunch reservation before the cruise.

Now I have read on here where some ships do allow you to make a lunch reservation for any day once you are on the ship. Then others have said "first come" basis each day. So it apparently varies by ship.

You will have to check the daily program each day for when the Pinnacle is open. USUALLY always open on sea days and some port days depending on the ships itinerary.

Now when I say USUALLY -- on our recent Westerdam cruises -- 19 day repositioning cruise and a 7 day Alaskan cruise -- the Pinnacle was listed on the daily program as being open the first sea day -- BUT -- it wasn't -- that was when we had our suite lunch.

These have been available for the last couple of years on all ships -- the specials are SUPPOSED to change every day. We always had the specials change every day EXCEPT on our 19 and 7 day Westerdam cruises (they did their own thing).

DH has had the Grilled the Romaine Salad. A couple of times we have been fortunate to have the Lobster Salad.

Following is the specials which is SUPPOSED to change:

Special Pinnacle Dinners
The Pinnacle does offer a special menu each evening besides the regular one that has been around for ages. You can choose everything on it or just one item.

For our cruises:

1st night:

Smoked Salmon Tartare - with grilled asparagus and a fresh ginger and sesame dressing served on new potato slices.

Prime rib rack of Veal with lemon thyme glazed and Sicilian style roasted vegetables.

Chocolate lemon cream tart - creamy milk chocolate ganache with a hint of lemon in a wafer anise crust.

2nd night:

Tequila shrimp and avocado cerviche - citrus marinated jumbo shrimp spiked with tequila and served with Peruvian aji.

Grilled rack of Veal Chop with lemon thryme glazed 7 Sicilian style roasted vegetables (the only difference between these 2 -- first night -- 3 small veal chops compared to 1 big chop).

Tiramisu flavored panna cotta - a rich combination of 2 classic Italian desserts served with passion fruit sorbet.

3rd night:

Grilled Sea Scallops with marjoram pomodoro coulis served on top of curried hollandaise spinach with fried capers.

Chef Rudi's Fillet Mignon with a brandy-spiked green peppercorn demi sauce.

French vanilla souffle classically served with a Grand Marnier sauce.

4th night:

Caribbean spiced Tuna Sashimi - island spiced ahi tuna accented with sesame oil, spicy sambal, sake and seaweed salad.

Lemon and Rosemary scented free range roasted half chicken with wild mushroom risotto drizzled with truffle oil.

Zinfandel-poached Bartlett pear with Italian mascarpone cream.

5th night:

Warm Maine lobster salad with grilled asparagus, fresh mesclun greens tossed in citrus dressing and pink grapefruit.

Peppercorn-crusted Monkfish with mustard vinaigrette on braised fingerling potatoes. DH tried this and loved it. There were also mixed vegatables - very good. Apparently DH was the first person to order this dish as the chef kept asking the waiters what he thought of it -- he had to come out and ask DH about it himself.

Chef Rudi's chocolate toque - our Master Chef's famous signature dish, rich chocolate Grand Marnier mousse served with strawberry compote and ornage scented cream. This is the same dessert that is served at the Master Chef dinner in th dining room.

6th night:

Fire-grilled baby romaine salad with gorganzola, five-spiced candied walnuts, Asian pear vinaigrette and port syrup.

Pan-roasted pear and pecan bread pudding with orange muscat vanilla cream sauce.

7th night:

Butternut squash soup with carmelized apple and crispy fried sage.

Grilled Diver scallops with wok-seared vegetables in Thai green curry, jasmine rice and sweet orange leek marmalade.

Frozen souffle Glace Grand Marnier with fig compote.

And you do not have to order everything -- we have ordered only parts of the menu.

If you want the French Vanilla Souffle' -- you must order this when you are placing your entre order as it takes time to prepare it.
