You should have a reservation number...why don't you call HAL directly in Seattle? They will be there until 9pm EST! The phone No. 1-877-932-4259 !!! Then you know for sure, even before toorrow!

I am thinking the OP will not be able to find out a thing as the booking was made through a TA.

If the OP has his booking #, he can go to HAL's website and see if he has a cabin assignment.

Will it show it? I think you can only see it if you booked through HAL. I don't know....I usually book guarentees so I never know what my cabin is until it's time to sail. Good response otherwise.

If OP has booking # cabin number will show whether booked through TA or HAL.

If the OP has the booking number handy that he should have gotten when he booked the cruise -- he can go to "Booked Guests" or whatever it is called.

Then he can act as though he is going to book shore excursions -- that requires the name and booking number.

OR he can act as though he is ready to do his immigration form -- that also reguires the name and booking number -- and it will show the cabin number.

Thanks for this suggestion. I just tried this to check our cabin assignment. We'd changed cabins after we initially booked our cruise and all this talk about not having a cabin made me nervous. We're where we should be. Yeah! We booked through a regular TA. :)

Everyone is right ISLAND DIVA, all you have to do is go into Hal website, go to "booked guest", go to "filling out imigrations forms" and it will show your cabin #. Use your booking number which everyone gets when you reserve a cruise whether it be through a TA, Hal, or others. Certainly Hal could upgrade you but quite frankly they don't usually do it this far out.

would Ha Move Us Without Notifing Us Thru Our Ta?Yes - but not this early. Also, if they moved you, it would be because they wanted to put someone else in your cabin, not just to leave it empty. Check your on-line check-in forms.

I had this happen to me too. I checked my cabin one day and it was showing available. I am still not sure exactly what happened, but HAL had me in a guarentee. My agent was able to book me back into the cabin. I think what happened, was I had requested a price drop. I have a feeling that my TA didn't realize it meant that I had to switch from my cabin to a guarentee to get the price drop. Simply my theory. In the end, there was another price drop and that time we knew we would have to take a guarentee to get the price drop. We went for it and all turned out well.

Not sure I would want to go with a guarantee on a B2B. Half the joy of the B2B is sitting around leisurely on the last night of the first leg knowing you have NO packing to do! You've also gotten nicely settled in your cabin and have you steward trained. Now, if you're in a guaranteed suite, and chances are good you might get upgraded to an SA or SB, it might be worth it.:) Cuz then you'd have the Butler to do it for you!

Are you saying this with "tongue in cheek" or am I missing something? We always book an SA cabin and have never had a "butler" do our packing.

Not so, I booked thru a TA and can access website with booking number.

Provided you are given a HAL booking number by your TA, you can check your room number (or guarantee room category) through the HAL online check in facility.

This thread made me nervous also. So I checked to see about my cabin status. Everything is the same for us.

I wish OP would come back and tell us the resolution of her no-cabin ...

Dang ... I just tried to edit out what came out as a red THUMBS DOWN. It looked like a question mark with my bad eyesight. Didn't intend to cast aspersions with the thumbs down ... sorry ....

I have a guarantee, SY Category booked for a November sailing on the Oosterdam and tried your suggestion of putting in my booking number to see if they assigned me a cabin and I still don't have a cabin assignment. I have done all the online check in forms and still nothing. I was hoping.

Any suggestions..............

Sherry it is way too early I'm afraid. I'm checking on a daily basis for our cabin assignment on 1st Oct and nothing yet. Still says GUAR. Likely to be another 2 to 3 weeks before I see a cabin no, but it doesn't stop the daily check! Sue
