'Renewal of Vows' Package

Was wondering if someone who has ordered this package could explain a bit more about it. Is it worth it? How is the ceremony? I was wondering if it would be too crowded and impersonal.

We had our Renewal of Vows ceremony on this summer's Rotterdam cruise.
It was very tastefully done. Five couples participated and the Captain addressed each couple separately.
There was a champagne and hors d'ouerve reception on a formal night at 7:15 in a closed off section of the Crow's Nest.

Our TA arranged the package. $99.00. It included the reception, the ceremony, corsages and boutonnieres (sp)?, a lovely certificate, formal portrait and a portrait with the captain. The leatherette album (packaged) was delivered to our cabin the day after. We had invited 3 guests, for which we were charged $12.50 each, a bit much, but it was worth it for our 25th anniversary. As it was a 34 day cruise I guess they could have given it to us, but oh well....We very much enjoyed the experience, and our friends thought it was very well done.

We renewed our vows (50th) on the Rotterdam several years ago and it was held in the Explorer's Lounge in the evening. The lounge was closed except for the five couples and their guests. We were very impressed with the ceremony.:)

We had the renewal of vows two years ago on the Veendam. The descriptions given above are very close to what we experienced and were well worth it.

We also received flowers in our room with a card requesting our appearance at the renewal of vows ceremony.

Definitely go for it!

We did the renewal of vows last Aug, not on the ship but at HMC Bahamian church, there was only 1 other couple and it was very nicely done, afterwards they served caviar and champage, rang the bells for all HMC to hear. We were in bathing suits with cover-ups :)
