Next fall 16 of us will be going to the Caribbean. We have narrowed our pics to 2 ships. We all equally like both the Emerald Princess and HAL Eurodam itinerary. Any suggestion on which ship to choose. All advise welcome!

It would help if we knew something about you and your group. What kind of things do you like to do? How do you spend your sea days? What kind of atmosphere are you looking for? How much entertainment does the ship need to provide you? Is dinner a "dining experience"? Or just a way to get nourishment? I don't know how many people the Princess ship holds, but that could come into play here.
All these things need to be taken into consideration when deciding on a ship/cruiseline.

We are all co-workers and like a wide variety of things. Some snorkle, some shop and a couple just beach it. We have been on several RCCL from small to large and like all of them. We like good service, good rooms, and like the ship to be clean- we have be on one that was older and was not impressed. But we have generally like the RCCL, but they do not have an itinerary that we all want, we only want max 2 days at sea, but want to drive to the port, so we want info on HAL and Princess, our comparision is RCCL. Thanks!

and found the traffic patterns very constrictive and would not sail her again. The Euro looks better and the specialty restaurants sound great. Don't forget that you will have to book the more expensive mini suite to get the same space as a HAL balcony cabin and still no tub.

M STEVE,

I thought all minis on PRINCESS ships have a shower, tub.

We like good service, good rooms, and like the ship to be clean-
You'll find all three on HAL. The cabins are large for their category; everything is constantly being cleaned. The stewards will remember what you like to drink after you visit a lounge once.

HAL ships are traditional in decor. There's lots of fresh flowers and artwork throughout. There's even flowers in the public restrooms! Not to mention cloth hand towels.

Daytime activities are somewhat sedate, generating a nice atmosphere in which to sit and read. There will be activities such as trivia and BINGO. There may be music by the pool for about an hour at lunchtime, but for the most part that area will be great for relaxing.
