After we first board the Eurodam, can we go to the 'anytime' dining room and reserve a table for two by the window for that evening? Will there be someone there? If we like that table, can we reserve the same time/table for the remainder of the week? We would most likely choose a later time, like 7:15-7:30. (I had heard that you can't reserve during the most popular dining time). Any information is appreciated! :)

We had Open Seating on our Noordam cruise in February. We reserved a table for two...same table, same dining steward, same wine steward...each night of the cruise unless we were dining in the Pinnacle.
You may call at 8 each morning to do this for the current day. They take reservations for the 5:30 to 6:15 time slot (I believe) and then at the end, around 8ish. Sorry, I'm having a senior moment on the exact times!).
No, you can not reserve during prime time. 6:30 to 7:30 or thereabouts.

That's the way it was on our Westerdam cruises.

Apparently the policy changes from ship to ship...We were on the 24 day Zuiderdam on April 26th...We would call at 8AM for a reservation that evening...We sometimes were able to get a table for 7PM...Other times it was only available around 6PM or 8PM...Once we called at 8AM and when we complained at the lack of availability at that time they said they decided to take reservations at 7:30 that morning.
At least once we walked in the dining room around 7PM and received a table immediately...We never asked for the same table...We were always able to get a table for two regardless of what time we ate...The service in the dining room was excellent in our opinion.

On the Zuiderdam, we were able to make a reservation for the same day and the next day. But you still must try to call as early as possible. Usually there is a choice of early or late, but I think that may have been because I didn't call early enough and the prime times were taken. I didn't ask specifically if those times (such as 7PM) were available but were already taken. But once I was able to reserve for a 7PM table, so it must have been available before. We reserved the same table each time which isn't a guarantee only a request. Only once were we not able to get the table we requested. Hope this helps.
