Reduced deposit deal?

I heard that HAL is doing a reduced deposit deal right now. Does anyone have details?

I think it ended yesterday. Yes the deposit on our upcoming 14 day cruise was only $400.00. Nice. We still must pay the balance at the regular full payment date.

I would call maybe they will extend it.

I'll call. I thought I heard that it was through the 3rd. But that's why I was asking here, to be sure.

Edit: Does what you paid represent a 50% reduction on what you would have had to pay?

We booked our Transatlantic cruise back in February 08 and HAL was offering $400 as a deposit. You pay the balance at the 90 day time frame. So I would say it changes based on the bookings they are receiving.

one site that I saw just had it listed as a $200 per person reduction on the deposit. But looking today I no longer see that offered. although it now has a reduced price for previous HAL guests for certain rooms....in my opinion better then a reduced deposit.
