Are fresh flowers placed in the staterooms  Thought I read that somewhere.

We were in an VE veranda and there were no flowers there. There was a fruit bowl with a thing to fill out as to your fruit preferences. We chose no fruit, but our companions said theirs was kept stocked with the fruits they asked for. (apples, pears, bananas, grapes I think)

Thanks, guess if we don't have something pretty to look at then we'll just eat something, LOL

The Deluxe Veranda Suites and Penthouse have fresh flowers. There are very beautiful, large arrangements of flowers throughout the ship.

I had a lovely bouquet of flowers in my little inside cabin on the E-dam. Never had that before! :)
But it was the inaugural cruise, and I suspect that made the difference.

HAL seems to have bouquets that you can pre-purchase...both roses and other types of flowers. Has anyone done this? Did they last for the cruise? I know the roses are $44/doz...was thinking of surprising my wife.

I had a giant square vase with a ton of flowers ... and I was in a VA cabin.

I also had a VA cabin on the Eurodam out of NYC and there were no flowers. But the steward did ask us what kind of fruit we wanted and kept that bowl full.
