Tropical storm Jeanne is whipping us right now.

If you remember, we got tossed around by the remnants of Hurricane Frances 3 weeks ago and now what's left of Jeanne is really dumping water on us here in Augusta, ga. All you folks in the mountains are gonna get it again it appears. Of course, what we're experiencing is nothing compared to the what the poor folks in Florida have endured. We are just getting 40mph winds and 4 to 5 inches of rain. I just can't imagine what winds of 130mph can do. The rain and winds should continue here until tomorrow and this thing is moving north...good luck.

I'm so sorry that Jeanne has decided to inflect her wrath on you as well. She was one mean Jeanne when she was here in Gainesville, Fl, and we are definitely glad she has left town. However, she is still causing us winds of 30-35mph and gusts to 40, but she has taken the rain with her.

We're down the road in Statesboro, and it was raining sideways until now. Not to diminish the dire circumstances of those who have sustained catastrophic losses this season, but I sure hope our Zuiderdam cruise will go off as planned.

Hi, folks in Georgia! So sorry you're getting bashed as well. These storms are simply unrelenting and show no mercy. Some people think it's just Florida that's gotten hurt by these storms, but so many other Southern states are suffering as well.

Just know that the storm will pass and the sun will shine and the waters will go down. When it was going through here, I just kept saying that to myself over and over. This will pass, this will pass.
