You want addicted? Look at my signature! And this started out when DH was in the Navy - let's go on a cruise, he said, it'll be lots of fun, unlike my usual deployments...

Ziggy,

Tell me about it! We are the same. We are about to leave on our long awaited cruise on the Prinsendam in two days time, we are booked on the Maasdam Transatlantic in July, 2005 and wait for it we are already booked on the Regal Princess South American trip for January, 2006. We have also been on the Tahitian Princess in March this year. Cruising gets into your blood and it is a great way to see the world.

I'm going to take a look at the 5/28 portion because I love a lot of sea days:) . Only trouble is I'm not sure about the Caribbean Princess because I think it huuuuuge ... like 3000 people? Might be too big for us. But I've written it down and I'm going to check it out. We really want to take an Anniversary Cruise.

Ziggy, Count us in on being exactly the same. In March of 2002 before we took our first cruise DH especially was so sure he would hate cruising. Needless to say we both got very HOOKED. Most of all our conversations are about cruising. We can't wait till HAL comes out with a 2006 agenda, mostly for the new Noordam, but to book more cruises:D

Your DH is a very, very wise man.

The best way to leave this earth is to go out with just enough money to pay the final bills and provide for burial. Of course, that's assuming all of your children are grown and self-sufficient.

Nothing to me is sadder than when someone works their butt off for years ... putting all the good times off until "someday." They figure when they retire they'll start having fun. Sad thing is that in many cases they never make it to retirement, or are too sick when they get there to enjoy that money they worked so hard to earn.

True situation. Good friend of mine ... worked multiple jobs all his life, never took a real vacation. He dreamed of being a millionaire when he retired so that he could live life without a care in the world.

The sad fact is that now he's retired, he's beset with some major health problems and doesn't even have the desire to travel.

It's sad ... all that hard work ... all that accumulated money ... and no real means to enjoy it now.

Book all the cruises that you can ... do all those things that you always put off for "someday." Then at least if the day comes that you can no longer travel due to health or whatever, you'll have all those wonderful memories to look back on and to keep you warm in your old age.

Blue skies!

aaaawwwwwww thanks rita! putting it that way, guess I sounded kinda silly, when you look at all that happens these days with illness and such money means nothing if you cant enjoy it with the one you love!

This cruise booking addiction must be striking males everywhere, as my DH seems to be suffering as well. He is now looking at booking a South America cruise for 2006 when it comes out. We already have two booked for 2005, and he is looking for something in Septemer of 2005 to avoid all the hurricanes. I'm all for that, as it has been an historic season here, one we don't wish to repeat. Of course what else can we women do but go along with them and their wishes. Hehehe. :D

It is so funny isn't it? It took me almost 15 years to get my husband on the Veendam - then he thought he'd died and gone to heaven! Now we try and take two per year!

We've never tried another line, but we are giving it considerable thought... :)

Depends on how the next two on HAL go...

Congrats! Maybe he'll even keep up with ya on the next cruise... NOT!

We are really happy for you. We haven't commited to next summer trip yet. DD through in a curve and won a trip yo 4 week camp next summer from June 12-July 7th... That leaves from then until second week August to sneak in our cruise! MIL is not interested in Europe, feels it is not WC friendly or handicapped accessable. Still researching options determined to set up another good vacation. But unlike you... We Texan's are never doing the Carribian again in Hurricane season.... it stung us on both ends!
PS If ya teach me how to send or send me your e-mail, I have a PIC of you being awarded Ms. Zuiderdam for your album!

Heather, we're doing an anniversary cruise for my parents. It departs on their 50th anniversary, in fact, April 23. It's a Panama Canal trip on Serenade of the Seas (our first non-HAL cruise), from Puerto Rico to San Diego, with lots of seas days. I can't wait.

Hope you find the perfect anniversary cruise for you!

I'm the one that's addicted. DH keeps asking to do a land vacation and I say okay, then promptly book another cruise. :D :D I can't help it. How else can you be pampered, meet great people and see wonderful countries all in one vacation? Happy Sailing!
