Hi everyone. Just returned from a 4-day Wonder cruise for the price of 3 days. We left Thursday just before Jeanne hit and instead of going to the Bahamas we went to Cozumel which was really cool! The weather in Cozumel was perfect so we enjoyed Paradise Beach, shopping in San Miguel and Senor Frogs. The Wonder is a beautiful ship and we really enjoyed our cruise! We spent an extra day at sea which was cool! Any questions, just ask!

Did you stop at Castaway Cay and pick up the occupants? We were on the Magic at the same time and came into port Friday night instead of Saturday morning.

We were on Wonder Sept. 19 the cruise before yours. We were at Castaway Cay Sept. 22 (Wed.) before Jeanne hit Abaco the neigboring island (Sept.26)
Before we left the captain told us we would feel Jeanne cruising back to Port Can. and we did around 2 or 3 a.m. but it was not too bad as we docked around 5 a.m.
Since I know your cruise made no stops at Castaway Key did you mean those who stay on the island got on the ship Sept. 22.( I read another tread here where you had posted that Wonder picked them up). Now I would know nothing about that but then I wasn't watching either. We had a veranda and it faced the oppoisite side from where we disembarked on the island. I watched the bannana boat guys from my veranda. Anyway as we left the island I was on the veranda watching and waving "bye" to the island.
We talked to a few of the employees that were not directly employed by Disney- the ones that ran the bannana boat excursions. They lived on Abaco and it was an 8 mile boat ride for them to Castaway Key. I hope they did okay. They had told us their island got considerable damage from Frances.

We were told the Wonder brought all of the inhabitants of Castaway Cay back with it. When we left St. Thomas and got into the Atlantic Ocean we were in very rough water. The water in the swimming pools was rushing out of both ends like a huge wave pool until they finally drained them. We had 20 foot waves for nearly 36 hours. it was truly rough sailing. I have never experienced such seas, but the weather was beautiful. We got in Friday night about 7:00pm ate dinner on schedule and went to Dolphin and Swan for the night.

Pixie - the captain had originally said we might, but we did not. I thought the Magic had picked them up. Wonder what happened to them? :))
