I know this question has been answered before, but I never thought it would apply to my husband and I....
We booked a Transpanama canal cruise on the Ryndam for Jan. 29, 2005 back in May (verandah suite). Yesterday we received a Mariner magazine which advertised lower fares for that cruise. That is quite exciting, I think!! Can we get this reduction and how do we go about getting it? Will a call to our TA take care of it? We have not made final payment.
We are novice cruisers (only one previous cruise), but I have become addicted to this board!!!! The few questions I have asked have been answered quickly and graciously. Despite not posting, I check this board at least once a day. I really enjoy reading the questions, comments, reviews, etc. Congrats to all you regular "posters"!
Thanks for any help!
Betty

Betty,

You hit the nail on the head. Just give your TA a call with the info (promo number, etc.) and he or she should be able to get you the price reduction.

Enjoy your cruise!!!!:)

Contact your TA. Have him/her call HAL for new rate. Be sure your TA has your Mariner number(s). if you are 90 days or more from sail date, HAL will extend the reduced rate, assuming there are no restrictions such as "for new bookings only". If you're inside the 90 day period, HAL will extend the reduction if it is greater than 10% of the total fare.
