I see that the "Balmoral" en route to Dover has "propulsion unit" problems and has been diverted to Southampton. They will have quite a task transporting people back to Dover to collect their cars. The next 7-day cruise BL022 will sail from Southampton. I hope they have managed to contact all the passengers or they will have a lot of angry people at the Dover cruise terminal.
Let's hope the technical problem will be resoved quickly as I am booked on this ship on 19 October for a cruise to the Caribbean.

I too am on the cruise departing 19th October aboard balmoral. I seem to remember she had engine trouble earlier in the year? I hope that this problem gets sorted before too long!

I believe that the "Balmoral" has sailed from Southampton on cruise BL022. I assume they have collected the necessary parts, carried out the repairs and all is ok. They will have to re-position her to Dover.
Hope you have a great cruise.

yikes i hope it's sorted we are on bl025 around the uk, on 8.10.08. When i went on the Black Watch a couple of years ago she had problems, and did some very sharp turns causing her to list very badly on the turn...i hope it's not me !!!

I'm too much of a gentleman to suggest for a second that an 'English Lady's' weight could somehow contribute to a 20,000+ ton ship listing! however, I feel for sure that you should not be unduly concerned!!!!! Happy cruising.
