View Full Version : Sports Bars on Westerdam?

We will travel on the New Year's holiday cruise and hope to be able to catch the football games. Does the Westerdam have a great sports bar with big screens, etc? Also, if so, where is the sports bar located on the ship?

We passed the sports bar, which was across from the casino, on Lower Promenade Deck. We didn't frequent it but did see at least a couple big TVs.

Its kinda tucked away on the starboard side, so its easy to miss.
The biggest screen is on the reverse side of the wall behind the bar - if it gets too noisy in there for ya, you can always watch in your stateroom...

Wouldn't count on them having the football games. They receive ESPN but last time we cruised did not have any of the network feeds available.

Actually had our TA call HAL today, and the rep laughed and said..."oh yes...we will have satellite feed for the bowl games."
The TA got the reps's name, so I feel much assured.
We were on the Veendam on the millennium cruise and they had a terrific tv/sports bar right in front of the casino. Everyone gathered in tuxes, dressed up to the nines for the evenings and got a few cheers in for the teams. It was really great, and I am glad that HAL understands that.
Can't wait to cruise HAL again - it has been since the Millennium cruise that we have - we've been on RCCL,Princess,Celebrity,Norwegian,Carnival...I am ready to get back to HAL!

does anyone know if the zuiderdam has a sports bar??
my daughter is a football fan and she would be thrilled to find a sports bar.

The Sports Bar is shown on the Westerdam deck plan on the Lower Prom deck.
The various lounges and other location questions posted on CC are shown on the deck plans of the various ships. :D
