I want to give a friend, who is sailing on the Oosterdam, some $$ for BINGO cards/pack of cards as a bon voyage present. Can someone who knows the cost of these please let me know. I want to give it to her on Oct 3. Thanks very much in advance. ;) :) :D

I seem to remember $10 for one card; $20 for three cards to be used in the same game--not spread over 3 games.

Prices may have changed since I last played; I don't play very often, so you might wait until someone else checks in to verify the price.

Actually this would be nice to know. On DCL and RCCL I remember it being $25 for a 3-pack/5-game and $35 for 6-pack/5-game, but HAL could easily be different...

It can often vary throughout the cruise, depending on what "kind" of Bingo they are playing that day. Usually for the regular games it is $10 for one card or $20 for three cards, but when they are playing "special" Bingo (win a cruise, etc.) it goes up to $15 for one card and $25 for three.

Of course these were the prices this past Feb. and June, like everything else they could have gone up by now!

Whenever this bingo subject comes up there's always a lot of confusion over what is "one game" and "one card". I like to say: for $10 you get one "pack" of 5 cards to be used for 5 "games" in one "session" (i.e., one day). For $20 you get a set of 15 cards to be played 3-per-game for one 5-game session. :) :)

Just got off of the Statendam.

Bingo was: 1 card for 4 games = $10, 3 cards for 4 games = $20
The final bingo game (on the 4th card) was for the "Snowball bingo" you had to get blackout in 50 numbers or less to get the jackpot, but they went on to give out the regular prize, plus dinner for 2 to the Pinnacle Grill after the 50th number.

Also, a note for your friend, the Cruise Director was giving out free bingo cards at the Crow's nest at night.

Does HAL still do the final snowball at the end of the cruise? I always hated that people who never showed up during the rest of the cruise came that night to take "our" money!

Wavesprite - When was the Cruise Director handing out free cards? Every night, or just one time. Would love to be there when he did!

Nonie - I want to be your friend!;)

Supposedly if you talked to him in the evening at the Crow's nest, he would give you one card for the last game.....

Each Card is a different color -- thus no confusion as to which card to play for which game.
