Drats. I knew this would happen. I booked this cruise through a TA and I'm paying book price. I found a better price by having different TAs bid for my business (won't name the service...read about it in the Miami Herald). I really want to upgrade and get that price but my cruise docs just came in the mail.
Is it too late to try to upgrade or get a better price?

You might be able to upgrade but you will proble have to pay extra. You will not get a room credit after final payment. Most of the promos are for new bookings only and do not apply to you.

I would call your TA and tell them you have seen prices that were a lot less and you would like to have an upgrade. In March of 2003 we booked our cruise to sail on the Zuirderdam in April. Because we booked just 60 days before our cruise we had to pay in full when we booked. After we booked an outside cabin I found that prices had been reduced. I called my TA and we moved up to a higher catagory for just $50 more, we then moved up to a Catagory C. Well, then the next week the prices dropped even more, now I was finding Catagory BB with the Balcony going for the same price. I called my TA back and she was able to get us the upgrade with NO extra money but it would be a guarantee. I was OK with that, but 5 minutes later she called me back because HAL called her back with a confirmation of a cabin number. All this was done after final payment.It actually was done the week we received out documents so our documents had the wrong cabin number on them. I say just call your TA and tell them the prices you are seeing and let them go to work for you.
