The Navigator still has vibration (only in the aft section of the ship). If your cabin is mid ship and low, you won't feel a thing. We were on the Navigator last year -- looked for the vibration all over the ship -- finally found a little bit in an elevetor and a corner of a restaurant. I do not believe this is fixable -- something to do with a flat bottom on the ship:confused:

They should really get that person with a flat bottom (presumably a crew member) off the ship immediately!

Having sailed on the Navigator 5 times, we've always had a forward low cabin (deck s5 or 6) and never experienced vibration. You do feel it and hear it (the glasses clinking) in Portofino's.

It can be bad in the show lounge. The trip we were on her, the seas were quite rough at times. Can't remember noticing it in Portofino's, but wouldn't doubt it. No problem with a mid-ship cabin, deck 6. Well, to be honest, there was some creaking at night, but we experienced that on Voyager as well in active weather.

apparently you do not know much about boats or their structure. you can't just fix something like that... you need a new hull.

My first cruise with RSSC was the Navigator to Alaska.....loved the ship.
I do not remember vibration as a problem. I guess I like being reminded I am not in a land locked hotel. I do remember my first cruise,it was on a small NCL ship called the Southward. She rattled and rolled, squeeked and moaned all night. It made me an instant cruiser for life.
I am braving the Fall 2009 transatlantic crossing on the Navigator and expect all sorts of noises, creaks moans and maybe a grand shudder should her tail end lift out into the air due to a following sea.
Vibrations.....helps all the food I eat compact in my digestive tract...so I can eat more.
More than three cosmos and my tush goes numb...wont feel a thing.
Cabin squeeks, moans and rattles.....drowns out the sounds from adjacent cabins should my neighbors get too wild in the moment.:p Whats to complain about....when do we eat again. if I do start to complain...just feed me some cheese cake and I will be touble free.:D

to longhrnfan;no I do not have the knowledge of ship structure which you apparently do; all i know is that when i pay 15000$ to go on a cruise i don't need to SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSShake for 15 days !

Consider how many quarters will be saved - the bed vibrates for free!

RMS Olympic, Our first cruise ever was on the Southward for 4 nights. We had our 2 kids with us and it made us lifelong cruisers. I remember walking into that cabin the first time and thought I'd never be ever to stand the small size; porthole, no TV's The bunk beds on top of us. But, we loved it! They were filming a TV movie of the week when we were on. Many stars were on that cruise. alot of stars from Knots Landing, Bull from Night Court, McLean Stevenson from MASH. We all mingled on that small ship. we have now moved up to Regent and have been on 4 ot 5 Regent cruises on Voyager. We are going to book the Navigator (9/09) 22 nights starting in Istanbul, doing the Black Sea and ending in Rome. This is a very expensive trip and are booking E cat. Our TA told us about the vibration in the back of the ship. I hope this ship will be as nice as the Voyager. Comments from anyone?

We just spent a week on Navigator and had a really smooth voyage. We were down on Deck 5 towards the front and rarely felt any vibrations. The only real noise was when they dropped the anchor in tender ports which was noisy. If you travel transatlantic, that shouldn't bother you!
