Alaska in early September

We are considering going on the Mariner to Alaska next September. Has anyone gone that late? We are wondering how the weather is at that time. Will we freeze? Is it very rainy?

We have been on the Voyager in the Mediterranean and the wonderful but departed Diamond numerous times. Reading many of the posts, it seems that the Mariner has some issues.

We have recently sailed on Crystal and Seabourn and loved them both. I am wondering if it will be a good idea to return to Regent when it seems things are not as they used to be.

We just did a back to back August 20 to September 3. It rained the first week and didn't the second week. The Mariner is great, both service and food. We've cruised as late as the last September cruise to Alaska, on Celebrity, and I would look to early September at the latest. Regent is head and shoulders above Celebrity, where we were in a Royal Suite.
