There is a chance. RCCL & Celebrity did this recently. Carnival is supposed to follow in January. Since HAL is under the same umbrella it's possible.

Big difference between the RCI and CCL policy. RCI will not permit a T/A to discount (some are giving free insurance). CCL will not allow a T/A to advertise or quote a discount on their website - but can offer one to you if you call.

For a family of four this is over $300. I'll be avoiding RCI until they change back.

you know ever since this new policy has been in effect i've called my TA a couple of times and in 3 instances they have still quoted me a lower price for about $100 pp from what the RCI website has advertised. plus this travel agency which is owned by a well known membership wholesale store also has said that if you book a RCI cruise with them, they will send you back a cash card good at any of their stores. for example for the balcony cabin I was looking for, they quoted me a price $100 less than RCI plus offered a cash card back of $650. too me getting a cash card back to use at a place where i would spend that money easily is just as good.
