I have a question: How do you become a "Blue Ribbon Cruiser?" Does this mean you people have stock in the Pabst Brewing Company?

I think you have to be over a certain number of posts. By the way - I see you are from Joliet - we live near Midway Airport.

You have to make 3000 posts.
Before the new up-grade system was installed, I had 2900 posts and dropped down to 900 something. Under the old system you had to have 5000 posts to become get the Blue Ribbon status. A lot of HAL threads and posts were lost.
If I were able to add my present posts to my old posts I would be in the 5000+ charter category. (MAYBE???)

KK, I think you should "demand" your Blue Ribbon status;) . But, barring that, you're Blue Ribbon to most of us:D

What's so special about having 3,000/5,000 (whatever it is) posts? Does it make the poster more knowledgable about cruising? I don't think so!
The number of days one has cruised and the itineraries would, it seems to me, make the poster more knowledgable.
Could it be that high volume posters have little else to do with their time? So often what has already been said is reiterated over and over and over, nothing new is added.
Just MHO!

You have a point! So, you think I should devote more time to the Board? :)

Being retired I do have a lot of extra time and can spend it on here while husband takes his morning and afternoon naps.
And yes - we have taken several cruises - like 48.
And there were some posters who lost 4 - 5 - 8,000 posts when the new system went in. And many of them have taken only a handful of cruises.
