Boudicca - 21 October - Southampton

Anyone out there going on this cruise? Assuming Fred Olsen manages to fix the rudder in time! My husband and I are lecturing on sea days - All at Sea with Computers. Hopefully we shall see you at the 9 classes where we will endeavour to help with any computing problems. We hope you will come along and say "Hello". :)

I,m sure your lectures will be really interesting ,such a shame Fred doesn,t have a decent connection ,no laptops can be used on any of his ships and on Balmoral the cost of useing the computer room is prohibitive.
When I was last on Boudicca you connected to the internet slightly differently but still overpriced ,I think it was £20 for half an hour.

Yes, the cost is prohibitive for using the internet. I'm sure they would also benefit from having Microsoft software on their computers too. I haven't been on Boudicca yet, so we shall see.

I believe its the satellite Fred uses and they only have a narrow bandwidth ,I like cruiseing with them but not being able to use my laptop really annoyes me.
I,m sure you will like Boudicca ,she is a very nice ship .:)
