DR Seating Map for the Zuiderdam [Archive] - Cruise Critic Message Boards

I'm looking for the seating map for the dining room of the Zuiderdam. We usually ask for a table for two, upstairs on the railing. HAL FAXed me one for the Volendam, but indicated they didn't have one for the Zuiderdam. Does anyone have one they could email or fax? Or any suggestions on a table for two upstairs?

Kel, I was at a 6top.. table 69...there was a duece right behind me...wish I could tell you the table number....but they were on the railing...so was mine.

We're going to be on the Westerdam - I assume its seating chart is very similar to Zuiderdam, so could I impose on you to email me the chart as well? I'm at moonbeam@austin.rr.com.

When I called HAL ship services about two weeks ago to set up Pinnacle Grill for embarkation night on Zuiderdam, I also asked about requesting an area of the dining room for our regular seating (since I have read here on CC that some posters request specific table numbers and get them every time). I was told that I could only have my basic preference requests: table size and dining time... and that I could ask on embarkation day if a specific table was still available (ask the maitre'd that afternoon). They told me they don't take table location requests in advance.

I too will be on the Zuiderdam (first time) and would love to see the seating chart as well. Also, any reason why being seated near the railing would be a plus?

By seating near the railing you are seating in the center of the restaurant...and you see the first floor...and when it's close to grand piano.

I personally don't see any point to seat next to the window on Z as window only lets you see promenade and not ocean like on RCI or X.

Well, try msnusers dot com/JerryandSuzanne and look in "documents"
I don't know why it won't take the URL. I can post other URLs, like

Sorry, this thread hasn't been popping up to the top, so I haven't checked in a couple of days. Too much razzing about the dress code! ;)

It turns out my outgoing email operation is still sporadic. I'll send out to all that have requested it, but it might take a day or 2 before you receive it. If anyone has some space where they can post it, I'd appreciate it. Then folks who come in can just hit that link. I sent it to Candy Brock, but haven't heard anything yet, so I don't know whether she received it.

If you are desperate, I do have it posted. You can go to my site on msnusers dot com/JerryandSuzanne then click on "Documents." But you have to register with msnusers dot com - it's free, and simple, but you still have to register.

Zuidy's upper level overlooks the Promenade, and the lower has a gorgeous view of the ocean. Of course, the views are better during the earlier seatings.

Now a question: We're on upper level-8:00 seating on Oosterdam in Feb. Since it will already be dark, what location would be a good one? Near the rail? The window--I know about the Promerade deck, so I have doubts about window location. :confused:

Anyone have any suggestions...please. We'd like to be at larger table--we're a party of three.
