Hello to you all!
On the Noordam, in the Exploration Café I understand that there are DVDs and books available to passengers.
Is this library well stocked, do it contains recent books, popular, any thematic naval books. In your mind is there some books in French ? — Any magazines ?
Regarding the DVD, any recent titles ..?
How to loan one of these documents? Are there any fees, etc.
Thank you in advance to take few minutes to try to enlighten me on this subject.
In short, do I bring my own selection of books and DVDs?
And as long at it, do we receive daily (with the possibility to drop door in the morning room service? Just the NY Times or another newspaper?

The libararies are very well stocked. There are books in various languages - but not many. As to naval books -- can't answer that.
There are lots of DVD's -- most are not current films. If you are in a PS, SA, SB or SC Delux suite -- they are free -- otherwise there is a rental fee.
There is an Explorations Cafe Manager who is in charge of everything -- signing out any books you wish to read -- no fee there -- getting games and cards for people -- getting the DVD's -- putting out the daily quizzes and Sudoku puzzles, etc.

Therre are magazines that you can read in the library/Explorations Cafe.
Each cabin will receive sometime during the morning an abbreviated copy of the New York Times Digest -- very small paper.
Not sure what you are asking about room service??? Each evening your cabin steward will leave a card in your room if you wish to order breakfast for your cabin -- you fill out the card and place it on your door handle before 2 AM.

There usually are a few newspapers available for reading at the Explorations Cafe. They are not to be removed. Sometimes Penthouse and Deluxe Veranda Suites receive newspapers in their cabins on port days (more usually no :() But, often, there is a newspaper in Neptune for Suite guests to read. It is usually USA Today and in Europe International Herald.
All cabins receive a New York Times daily four day summary newsletter. We always enjoy reading that. It will be delivered by your steward daily.

Newspapers?? -- Don't count on it!!
21 days on the Veendam in March -- USA Today only when we got on the ship in Tampa.
Westerdam -- April/May -- again no newspapers and he had a lot of American ports.
And nothing in the Neptune Lounge.
