Hi Karen:
I have some first hand knowledge of Uniworld's European Jewels and also their European Serenade tours.
It sounds like the Jewels might have some of what you're looking for.
You can email me at tiggypooo@yahoo.ca and I'll give you some insight into these 2.

Karen Lynn,
First I would order all brochures to compare the cruises.
Which line is offering a cruise fitting to your time frame.
Then compare the itineraries.
Then compare the amenities (shore tours included, which shore tours, do you need included wine for dinner...)
Deilmann is a bit more upclass than the other companies youīve mentioned. If you prefer 5 star gourmet dining and are able to spend a bit more then Deilmann could be your choice.
Some cruise companies do offer themed cruises (like Deilmann).
You canīt do much wrong with any of the mentioned companies.

THank you..I am pondering the brochures I have here...we are 3 couples-early 50's. Are they all pretty much equal as far as our ages?
THANKS for the help!

Karen Lynn,
The average age on river cruise ships is even higher :). But donīt worry about that. Iīm 40 and I was 28 on my first river cruise.

We just left the Premicon Queen and it is over the top. The Cruise exceeded all of our expectations, and if you want top of the line, then the new Premicon Queen is for you.
www. premicon-queen.de is the web site.
We cruised Viking in April and there is no comparison. Viking is a 3 and Premicon is a 10+ on a 1-10 scale
As for age groups, Viking was definitely older crowd and several handicapped. Premicon was younger and without disabilties
Have a wonderful cruise down the Rhine:)
