DW wants to signup for the culinery class on the Nov.17 Noordam cruise; is it possible to do this in advance?

No. You have to book the hands on classes at the front desk as soon as your embark. There are only 25 slots for an entire 7 day cruise assuming a group hasn’t booked them all in advance. There will be a charge for these classes.

There are also non-hands on classes that are free and you just need to arrive early to get a seat.

25 slots??

On all the cruises that we have been on, the classes had only 12 slots per class.

When did this change???

I am getting married on that same cruise (11.17)--will I be able to sign up for one of the classes at the main desk as the wedding coordinator escorts us on the ship? I am worried that by the time we are done with the wedding and photos it will be too late.

wxtrix, now you have a bunch of us intrigued.
Maybe I will bring confetti just in case we find the wedding :D
I am also hoping to get on the list for the cooking classes. If you want to give me the info I will try to get them to save a place for you... given the circumstances, how can they refuse?

The largest table is for 10 but I have seen them though in an extra chair. I don't think you will have a problem.

Wonder what security (oops... Homeland Security) would think if my carryon were full of confetti. Might make good cushioning for some wine, though!
The cooking classes are $29 according to other threads, and you sign up ASAP.

It sounds like we might have more than one option on the 10 day Noordam trip. I'd love to have you come along, Debi D. Now all I have to do is figure out where the Culinary Arts Centre is!
And newlyweds-to-be, CONGRATULATIONS!
I know someone who got married on board, threw her bouquet overboard, and got in trouble with the port authority. So pick a likely-looking friend to catch the bouquet. At my wedding, no one wanted it (getting married was out of fashion among my friends) and it fell in the mud when I threw it. :p

Does anyone know if there is a table for 11 in the dinning room.I don't have diagram for the Upper level, but on the Lower level table 105 and table 143 can be joined to form a table for 12.

if I see people roaming the decks with hands full of confetti, I will know it's the CC people. :D

and thanks, Judy--I spoke with our wedding coordinator and she said she'd make sure I'd get signed up so hopefully we'll all have a chance to cook together.

LOL! that would be fun, actually.

At least you would have a colorful crowd:D ooh come on at lets us all watch it would give you something to talk about in 25 years.....

All kidding aside. We renewed our vows in a double ceremony with my sis and her DH. Had a great time... It took a lot of convincing to get my DH to do it again, he said the first time was enough:p We had Captain Romano on the Caribbean Princess do the ceremony which even had him in tears ( he has become a very good friend ). To bad on our wedding night (renewal night ) we both fell asleep:p:p

kruznkanuk

I asked my DH what he thought about renewing vows. His response: "which part of 'til death do us part' did you not understand the first time around?". But at least I don't have to worry about admitting that we both fell asleep on the renewal night, cause I am sure all that excitement would be really draining to us medium aged folks.

So...wxtrix... should we be looking for someone in a long white dress or are you eloping more casually?
