I'm leaving soon, but not soon enough. In fact, it's only a few days before you. We're sailing on the Maasdam, leaving on 10/30. Since we only live about 20 minutes from the pier I'm picturing myself sitting there on Saturday morning watching the second hand of the clock tick away ever.... soooooo....... slow....ly.........
Thanks for remembering.
Doing the doc dance is a lot of fun.

AH, for some reason, I was thinking it was next week!
Did you get your absentee ballot yet? DH says he WILL not get on the plane unless he has voted - so I'm hoping they will be here soon!

I wish it was next week. I'm guessing you have signatures turned off, because I've got the countdown timer going.
We got our absentee ballots late last week. DW has already sent hers in, but I haven't gotten around to mine yet. I guess I'm holding out, expecting one candidate or the other to make a real bonehead move that will affect my decision.:D
Hey, if dress code is too controversial, why not a presidential candidate thread.

ekerr19, Hey, if dress code is too controversial, why not a presidential candidate thread.:eek:NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don't go there!!!!!!
Listen, Marc, please do me a favor. I'll be on the Maasdam next summer (if there's a God in heaven), but have never sailed her before.) Please check how the bathroom is set up as far as storage goes. In some of the ships there's a nice long counter under the sink; great for storage. Some ships don't have this.
Could you please let me know?
Thanks.

Thanks. No problem Ruth, but please remind me as I get closer to the thirtieth. Also, I don't know what category you book, but I'm in an E category outside. It may be a bit different for an inside, verandah room or especially suite.
Do you need the extra storage for chocolate?:D

Marc- I wonder what happened to our ballots? We can't leave unless we vote! Yikes. I do see your countdown clock, duh. I could have just looked at it, sorry... :)
RuthC-
We were on the Maasdam last April, we had and outside quad, it was an F, I think. There was the long shelf under the sink - I guess it's about 2 feet long and about 12 inches deep, but I'm not the best at measuring, as my DH will tell you. :D

Marc, I'm booked on an inside (K-cat) guaranteed share, so I have no idea where I will end up. (she bows to the upgrade fairy.)
If I have your permission to nag you that works!
Thanks ekerr for the info. I know the Amsterdam and Rotterdam have a full length shelf under the sink area, plus the medicine cabinet with three shelves (Marc, thats true in the insides). IIRC the Statendam doesn't have the shelf; can't remember how the Ryndam and Veendam have it set up.

 EKerr, if you're leaving on the 3rd, why can't you vote on the 2nd??? How long is your cruise? Are you in the Caribbean or the Pacific? We're leaving on the 7th and I wondered if we'd be "at sea" at the same time.
BTW, some of these threads have hinted at election discussion, but no one has been dumb enough to go there YET!!!:D Let's keep it that way:eek:
