How late are the pools and hot tubs open

I think that I recall the pools closing around l0pm. Hot tubs probably the same time. If this is not correct, someone will let us know.

From what I remember after our second seating (8:00pm) dinner at 9:30 we still saw some people in wirlpools but pools were closed.

One pool stays open a little later depending on the activities - one closed at 7 pm and one at 10 pm - at least that is what happened in Sept

Another question regarding the pools, how cold was the water? The last cruise (Carnival) we were on, the pools were filled after we left port and it was so cold and that was in October. :eek:

Our cruise isn't until December so I bet I'll be one of one's that won't even stick a toe in. Now, my kids may be a different story. They may try to swim regardless of the water temperature.

I'm guessing that HAL doesn't have heated pools.

We were in the caribbean and the pools were a very nice temp, warm but still cooled you off.

I thought they were but was told no by another Pax and someone on these boards said the way you could tell is if "they had chlorine it them", then they were freshwater and "no chlorine" meant saltwater, The staff told me that all the water on the ship is sea water filtered to fresh water, sooooo take your pic I guess, they were nice and refreshing, clean, not cold, emptied and refilled every night (around 4 am), and we used them everyday or night :)

The Zaandam and Zuiderdam pools are fresh water (desalinated) and chlorinated. Love 'em!!
