We are due to go on our first cruise to the Carribean in January on the Noordam. I am a little concerned having read that the privacy re deck four cabins is compromised by people being able to walk past. We have an outside cabin on the aft of the ship. Could anybody please give me any extra information regarding the 4 cabins on the aft of deck 4. Thanks Elainet

I'm not sure I understand what cabins you mean. Deck 4 cabins are either obstructed view (midship) or have private verandahs. Nobody can walk past them.

Thanks you have answered my question. We have a cabin with a verandah and I am pleased to see from your response that no one can walk past them
Thanks
Elaine

Perhaps you are referring to the fact that those people on deck 5,6,7, or 8 can look down onto the verandas of the people on the decks below them. Only the part very near the railing can be seen. You would have to be standing at the rail for anyone to look down and see you. We will be in a stern veranda on deck 5 and we were there last year too. No privacy issue at all.

Or maybe you have heard that the obstructed-view cabins (4055 to 4120) can occasionally have crew on catwalks directly outside their windows.
