Finally got our cabin assignment

Well, the wait is over. After wondering for months what our cabin would be we finally got it last night. When we initially booked we paid for a VH and there was a free upgrade to VD, now that we have our cabins we've been upgraded to a VA. We've never booked a cruise without picking our own cabin before so it's been a little strange for us. We are on the Nordaam on Dec.7. We are in cabins 8135 and my in-laws are in cabin 8138. I looked at the deck plans and it looks like 8138 is on the back of the ship. has anyone ever had one of these cabins? How are they. I'm thinking about asking them to switch, we are on the side at the back and I think that my DH would enjoy the back facing balcony more than they would. Are the balconies at the back of the ship covered? Is there anywhere online to find pictures of cabins? I seem to remember seeing a post about it one time. Any help would be great. Thanks Betty

Yes 8138 is an AFT cabin... with a huge balcony... what a great upgrade.

I found this wonderful link with some fabulous Noordam ship photos.. this page will show you cabin 8136 which is right next to your 8138, so it should be exactly the same...Looks Great!

Thanks for the link, I remember seeing that post a while back. I am so excited I can't wait. My DH says that we will be nice and let his parents have the larger balcony, I know that it's the nice thing to do but it just looked SOOOOOOOO big. Oh well, we can enjoy it some of the time with them. Honestly, I'm just happy to be going. Thanks again.

The aft balcony looks great!

We were on the Noordam last June in 8143, an aft cabin with the large balcony. Loved it! That's very nice of you all to let your in-laws have it, but maybe you can still spend some time on their balcony. The wake is amazing!! Have a great cruise!
