We have just booked a cruise on "Boudicca", Treasures of the Carribean on March 12th 2009, When asked what sitting we wanted we chose the 6-30 sitting ,but on reflection we are not sure if this isn't a little early.Just wondered if there is any flexibility in changing meal times or are they "set in stone", as this is our first cruise we would be grateful for any advice. Many thanks.

it depends on what you think you will do in the evening. i think if you go on all day excursions it can be a bit of a rush to get ready for dinner at 6.30,some people though do not like eating late in the evening. we had late seating on Balmoral, which was 8.30,by the tine you had orered and were actually eating it would have been nearly 9pm.also if you want to see a show after the late seating, that obviously wouldd be getting on for minight by the time it finished. if you did want to change the sooner the better.

The dining option you have chosen is not set in stone and is really just a guide for the dining room staff. If you want to change you need to go to the dining room on boarding day. The MD will be there and unless your choice is full up (we have never had any problems changing) he will sort this out. It is also worth looking at your allocated table while you are there as it is also possible to change this if you don't fancy it.

Why don,t you simply ask your TA to change it for you or perhaps you want to keep it for some evenings ,if so ,on the other evenings simply eat in the secret garden. No big deal or problem.:)

I would change it before you go. I prefer the later sitting as I always found it a rush for the earlier sitting if you have been out on an excursion. Also who wants to go to bed early when they are on holiday.
