Noticed on Island web site that there is a flight supplement of £100 flying from Glasgow that wasn't there when we booked, are we likely to be asked to pay this even though our holiday was paid in full in September.
Brochure not quite clear or am I just being thick ? :)

No you won't be charged any extra - they have obviously sold out of all their original allocation of flights and have had to reserve some more. I've noticed that for Gatwick. the flights now are with Monarch, Thos Cook and Virgin, all with different suppliments!

Hi Ange/Wullie,
Don't want to rub it in, but we received our tickets yesterday.....yippee!! Only 23 days to go now. Also received a booklet showing excursions which has some not on the website....strange.

Steve,
When you got your tickets did you get your cabin number as well. I phoned them and asked them but because I didn't pay the £30 for the guaranteed cabin they wouldn't give me a number.

Hi Wullie,
We decided to splash out and booked our cabin as we sort of knew where we wanted to be having done a couple of trips on the Star before. Our paperwork doesn't show the cabin number anyway so hopefully they have given us the right one!
You will only find out your cabin number when you get all the paperwork from the Island Cruise Reps at Bridgetown. I will of course confirm that with you after my trip.
Cheers.....Steve

We prebooked our cabin so we will know if they give us the wrong one !!

When booking we have always got cabin number without paying for the priviledge. I say "no cabin number? no booking" the usual reply from TA after some negotiating is "we will pay the fee rather than lose booking". one TA say"you must pay" so we leave and another TA obliges.
didnt quite manage it this time, but we got it down to 2 cabins (either or)
why should any one pay extra to know what cabin they are in?

we paid the extra so we could choose the cabin.......... we did it from a deck plan - soooooo glad we are not at the back of the ship - apparently very noisy ?
