Thanks for posting the sights again.
I posted them a while back - both on a thread of mine and revneal's thread.
But I know cc'er's have lost track.
Also kroooze cams might show the ship going through the Miraflores Lock.

Here on the east coast we have to figure out a different time to co-ordinate with his schedule.

KK - the Canal is only 1 hour behind us here on the East Coast. It is now 4:48pm here and 3:48 pm there. When we change our time - this is back the end of October, we will then be on the same time. I know it's weird - I always thought the Canal would be on Pacific time.

Thanks
I was thinking that maybe they wqere 2 hours behind us. When we are on the ship going through the canal I never pay any attention to the time. And really never gave it thought as to how many times we change the clocks till we are in Ft Lauderdal.

Check out the Canal web site and you will see the time posted there. That was how I found out.

Thanks for the info. My problem is that I am going to be very Busy from 7:00AM until 10:25 AM and I think he will be through the Miraflores locks before me gets up to the computer. There are three HAL ships going through tomorrow: The ZAANDAM, the VEENDAM and the OOSTERDAM. The Beautiful and elegant m.s. VOLENDAM will go through on Tuesday Morning. I will check the Miraflores locks when I get finished about 7:00 AM and again about Noon Central time and maybe catch them at Gatun,

Lisa, thanks so much for posting this link. I really want to see Greg go thru, but also the Oosterdam since she's heading over here to pick people like me up in a few weeks!!!
How do we know, or do we, what time they're going through? I'll go look a Greg's thread to see if he says.

Heather, I was the same way last spring when the Oosterdam was going thru the locks to go to Seattle to start the Alaska season. I was really excited to watch her go thru since we were going to be on the 2nd week of the Alaska season. I was able to capture numerous photos off my lazer printer when I was at work. Unfortuately I will be home but plan to get up early and see which ship I catch going thru. I really have a great fondness for the Oosterdam and look forward to sailing on her again in just 363 days:eek:

I just logged on and I do see her. Unfortunately since they added the cameras at Gatun lock they no longer zoom in on different parts of the ship so you cannot see anyone clearly. You used to be able to see their faces. :(

On the West Coast it was a bit early to see the Zaandam, but I did get to watch my Oosterdam go thru which was neat because I watched her go the other way last spring.

Looks like two ships are transiting the locks right now.Celebrity summit is the other ship. If you go to kroozecams, you can view the Summit's bowcam which shows the OOsterdam ahead of her.

I believe the Celebrity Summit was just behind the Oosterdam going thru the Miraflores Locks. Does anyone know long it takes them to get to the Gatun Locks. If I am not mistaken they go thru the Mriaflores first when coming from the Pacific side. Didn't someone say last spring it takes about an hour? Did the Zaandam already go thru the Gatun Locks? It is too bad I missed it but that would of been 4:45 my time:eek: That is too early for Sunday Morning.

Yes, I was just looking at it! Oosterdam must be close behind and then the Summit is moving thru the lake. Very exciting!!!
