We just received documents for our Oct 28 Prinsendam sailing. We are leaving a few days early for a side trip to Istanbul before the trip begins. If anyone has stayed at the Fodors recommended Arena Hotel in Istanbul, we would love to hear feedback.
I can tell you that this sailing has 3 formal nights.... I know you "hardliners" will bash me, but I have no intentions of carrying a Tux for that distance. Slacks with tie and jacket is dress enough. This is cruise number 24 for me and formal nights...........well are not are priority for me when the itinerary is so port intensive. I have been reading another posters day by day account of their Panama Canal sailing, and I am shocked that this person goes to dinner everynight and takes a "ratio" of tux : suit statistics. Anyway.... count me in the non-tux, no suit category. Hope I dont ruin too many of my fellow passenger's cruise. GASP and EEK no tux !! I will save my tux for the next Caribbean cruise.
