Hi everybody:
I hear that the Rotterdam is due to go into drydock in the next year for a refit.
Does anyone know when that will be?
We are planning to sail on its transatlantic Voyage in the Fall of 2009 and it would be nice to know that it will be refurbished before then.
Thanks for your help.

We are planning to sail on its transatlantic Voyage in the Fall of 2009 and it would be nice to know that it will be refurbished before then. We're currently booked on that cruise. We're VERY thankful that the drydock isn't until after the cruise. One last time to sail her before she is mutilated (which to me the lanai cabins will be).

Mary Ellen,
What cabin are you and Karl booked in?? If you'd rather not post that on the board, e-mail me off-board.

The Captain told us the end of the year, 2009, but specific dates he didn't have. I'm not happy about the changes to the ship, either! :(

Pat -
The HAL site just has Nov 2009, so my guess is right after the TA.

Thanks you guys....... From what everybody seem to think, we should look forward to sailing the Rotterdam BEFORE the refit. and it looks like it will be in drydock AFTER the TA. So that's good.

Ruth, we booked this 'just in case' back in August as there was only 1 cabin left in our preferred category. We have Adele's cabin from the Antarctic cruise.

Oh, that's right. Old timers' disease, and all that rot, I guess. :o
I hope things work out that you and Karl do come, after all. :)
