Help!!
We have to make a decision soon. We are booked on a 24 day Med cruise in 09. We have booked a total of 5 cabins. Right now we have 3 cabins on Upper Promenade deck balcony VD 4132,4134,4136 - these are located in the back of the ship--- right after the life boats end. We have 2 additional cabins-- outside obstructed view by life boats on our same deck (Upp Prom) but 7 cabins away from our VD's. We are thinking about moving to VE on the Verandah deck mid ship where we can have 5 cabins together . Can someone tell me why VE is a higher cabin in cost that VD? VE is in the center part of the ship (yes) but it looks like smaller balconies and the lifeboats appear to be at the foot of the balcony which probably blocks views? Are the balconies on our VD bigger - Please help shed some light on whether we should switch cabins asap. Which do you think is the better cabins VE OR VD?

Thanks to anyone we can help us

Balconies on deck 4 are larger than those on other decks. The deck 4 balconies go out over the life boats. When looking down from above, all other balconies jut out the same distance except for deck 4. People from above can see you on deck 4 when you stand at the rail of your deck 4 balcony. It is not a large difference. They maybe extend a couple of extra feet. I've stayed both on deck 4 and 5. I personally prefer deck 4. I don't think the fact that your cabins are 7 cabins away is much of a deal. I wouldn't care about that.

So there really is a difference in the balcony size between decks 4 and 5. Our kids (teenagers) are the ones staying 7 cabins down is the only reason we were considering combining the group of cabins up on deck 5.
It would be nice to have a bigger balcony for us to sit and watch us arrive in the ports.

I appreciate your input
thanks
