We plan to take 2 of our granddaughters on a cruise in the summer of 2006 and are looking at New England/Canada itinerary. I prefer going out of Boston.

Is HAL the only cruise that does the round trip - Boston to Boston? Which ship(s)? What catagory rooms will accomodate 4 ?

Thanks
Judy

You are really planning way in advance.

I assume you mean months like end of June, July, and first part of Aug.

This past year HAL had the Maasdam doing 7 day round trip cruises from Boston all summer long.

Next year the Maasdam will be doing 7 days toMontreal and 7 days return to Boston. BUT in July sometime she will go to Europe and come back - 32 days(?). So she won't be doing the Canada/New England cruise all summer.

Have no idea what HAL's plans are for 2006.

We cruised Boston to Boston in July on Maasdam for a seven day Canada/New England itinerary. IT WAS FABULOUS ......so way better than we ever anticipated.

So good, in fact, that we have already booked back-to-backs for June 2005 so we can do it again. The itinerary is different than we did this year but is the same for both weeks we have booked. We don't care as it will give us more time in Quebec and a full day in Montreal.

I'm not sure, but I thought I read something about RCI sailing out of Boston starting next summer.

Majesty sails Boston to Boston every week to Bermuda. I do not personally recommend it. I have heard way too many complaints from local folks who do it for the convenience and come back and say they did not think it very good.....not even worth the convenience.

We sailed the Rotterdam 10 days Montreal to Boston a couple of years ago, and that was a fabulous itinerary as well. Beautiful scenery and interesting ports.
