Hi everybody !
We booked the transatlantic cruise next april (FLL to Rome 16 days).
We have MM cat (only 4 cabins aft the ship) and it specify Garanty.
What can I expect with this...
Is this kind of long cruise tend to be full and easier possibility of an upgrade.
Where can we know the occupancy of this cruise (internet, by phone..)
Thanks in advance and Happy New Year !

In this economy, who can predict! In the past the trans-At's have tended to sell out. With an MM guarantee there's lots of room to move up to, so yes, there is a chance of an upgrade. If there's any problem selling out, HAL will most likely re-sell the lower category cabins and upgrade those already booked for them.
Bon chance!

Thanks Mrs Ruth,

Do they have to sell all the cabin BEYOND our category to have a chance to move in a better cabin ? (Did they take in consideration that is my second cruise with them in a row or something like this..?)
I heard they can move you ON THE SAME LEVEL (?) or DECK as the category we have.
Thank for your answer, I don't really understand the process..

LOL! That's because it's a deep, dark, secret! ;) No one understands the process.

HAL wants to sail full. If they don't get enough passengers as sailing date nears, the price goes down. They re-sell more low-category cabins than they have, and move those who already purchased those cabins to a higher category.
Now, if the cruise is selling well, there's less need to upgrade.
Sometimes, a particular cabin becomes desirable to an individual---perhaps a family wants two cabins near each other---, in that case the person already assigned to that cabin gets an upgrade.

It's all based on the whim of the Upgrade Fairy. :D
