Booking cabs thru Speedy's?

I've read that most people pay for a cab ride from the ferry terminal at virgin gorda to the baths thru Speedy's at $8pp. Any breaks for children? Do you get a token or ticket or something?

I've also read where someone negotiated a cab ride to $3 pp b/c they shared with another couple. Is this possible? Is it better to go thru Speedy's or just as easy and cheaper to get a cab on your own??

When we used Speedy's the cab ride was included in the ferry fare and it was $30.00 R/T.
