Can anyone tell me if there is WiFi (for example in your suite) on the Navigator?? It seems from looking at the deck plans that the Computer area is relatively small and I want to bring my laptop and work in my suite.
I asked this question on another thread but it was probably the wrong place. I would be gratefull for the information!

We were on the Navigator in October and we used the WiFi in our suite on deck 8 daily. The only time there was a problem was when the service that was feeding the system had a problem and that was only for a short time. I saw many people sitting around the ship using their computer in the public areas.

Is WIFI use included or do you have to pay for it?

We took our laptop and used it in our suite. Load times during the day were often very slow, but were fine early (5 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.) and in the middle of the night. Other people found locations on the ship that seemed to have better access/quicker load times than they found in their suites. I never checked out areas so can't give you specifics. The only time I was unable to access the net was when the ship had computer problems.
rob1234 If you have reached Silver (over 21 nights) on Regent, the internet is free; otherwise you have a charge.

Thanks. Do you know what the cost is?
Edit: We are doing a 19 day cruise. If we did another say 7 day cruise later on would we reach silver 2 days into that cruise (and get free internet) or would it only count for the next cruise after the 7 day one.

As I understand the Regent Policy, you do not move up a category during the cruise that qualifies you for that higher category, but at the start of your next cruise. So I suppose your second cruise would not be at silver level, but the one after that would be...
(We are silver and will reach gold during our next cruise. In fact we are taking two cruises - the TA to Funchal and then on to Spain and France - so I am hoping that we will reach gold level as we sail out of Funchal! One can always hope!!)

Depending on your status with Regent, it can be free. If you are Silver or above. Otherwise, I think about $62.00 for 250 minutes or you can pay as you go for $0.55 per minute. there is a price for 100 minutes but I can't remember what it is. Wifi worked fine in our cabin on deck 8 aft.

I was on the same cruise as mariners and a few cabins forward on deck 6. Our wifi worked fine in the morning and after dinner/evening shows. It slowed down on sea days in the afternoon. There were people waiting in the library to use the computers most of the time, so bringing your laptop is a wise idea on the Navigator.

Thanks everyone. 250 minutes would probably last us the whole trip.

I found the Wifi fine except for when uploading photos to a blog - didn't work until I saved these photos as a smaller file size.

And I agree with leese on photos. Just wait until you get home to post those.
