Just booked E. Caribbean 4.21.05 Maasdam from Norfolk through a TA via an online service and saved significant money over the previous "do-it-myself" website! (Plus, I did not have to put the entire cruise amount on my card, just the deposit.) I will put that saved money to some indigenous art!

I booked Cabin 139 on the Verandah Deck. Does anyone know if there is much noise from the bar, etc. below? I can change the cabin number but thought I would ask you folks first!

I'm not familiar with that cabin, but most noise complaints are about activities from the deck above, rarely from the one below.

Have fun!

Hello Bookish Angel! I like your screen name. So glad to hear there will be other cruisers on "our" cruise, because there has been no response to the roll call I posted.

There will be nine of us on the cruise. When MIL sold her house she promised to take family on a cruise, so here we are!

MIL is 87 and she is a real pip! Has traveled all around the world, loves her wine and folk dancing. Never complains, thinks everything is wonderful -- she's great company.

Four of her five middle aged kids and their spouses complete the happy group.

We were happy with shopping around for a TA and think we got good prices - sound like your price was good too! Congrats!

This will be my third cruise on Maasdam out of Norfolk. The first was April 2004, and the next is Nov 9. I really liked the ship and the roominess of the cabin - we had a balcony.

As the time grows nearer, can we exchange some info - maybe you'd like to meet our group for a drink or some bingo?

Hi Gerry,

Yeah, I was a scrawny, bookish kid named Angel so it seemed perfect for a screen name!!!! : )

Your group sounds like a hoot! Would love to meet y'all for a drink, bingo, Scrabble, whatever! Exchanging info is a great idea! You may reach me at directly at back2chicago@comcast.net.

See ya in April!
