The New Year has begun
The first week is done
Are you off to a great start
Or did you and your woe/diet part
Did false starts you had make you mad
Start again and you will be glad
Also craving the Holiday sweets you ate
Makes it harder to say goodbye to the extra weight
We need the extra weight off now
Plus the weight we had before..WOW
Know WE can do it
Just can't think and sit
WE have to move everyday
That and our woe/diet is the only way
Know WE can do it in two thousand and nine
WE all have to say.. this year to lose weight is mine

Good morning, Losers! :D
I lost 2 lbs from last week. I was hoping for more, but since it is only 2 lbs, I hope it is fat and not just water loss.
Belle ~ You amaze me how you can come up with such clever poems every week.

Belle - Great Poem!
Sheila - Two pounds gone it doesn't matter where it came from just that it is gone. This means that you are on your way.
I said I would report on Fridays as I will be weighing at the gym in the evening, but I don't think I will have any bad news since I check every night at the gym as I finish my workout.

I am down 2 lbs this week! I even had a few not-so-good days over the New Year's holiday, but got right back on track. So, I'm very happy about the loss. You're right, Belle...WE can do this and I finally feel I'm in the frame of mind to make this THE year.
Great job Sheila and Daniel!!! Hope everyone is off to a good start!

Daniel, you need to weigh BEFORE you workout....very important! During a workout, your muscles retain water and you'll get an inaccurate reading of your weight. My trainer told me this and I've tested it and it is true. Great job on the workouts!

I did so well this week ... went to the gym ... stayed within my calorie guidelines, etc. etc., etc. I have managed to lose NOTHING this week!!! Oh well, guess its better than gaining. (It rots though) next week will be better. Jan

Good Morning Everyone,
I gained managed to gain back the 2 lbs. I lost last week.
I saw it coming though. I baked last weekend and we had too much junk around the house.
I hope it's just temporary. I'll get back to my good eating today. Perhpas right now I should go back to keeping a journal of my food. That always helps.
Congrats to the losers, you're doing great!

Jan~Don't be depressed, you know how it goes, stay with it and I bet you see a good weight loss next week!

Lucky number this week so far.

Up just about 1/2 lb. I should lose this week because I'm so busy at work I don't have time to eat.:)

Alright I didn't get to the gym last night for a very important reason so I will use my weight from Wednesday evening. I was 326 pounds. This is down from the Dec 30 weigh in of 336.
So down 10 pounds.

Jan, I'm sure you'll so a loss on next week's weigh-in. Your body is probably catching up. Hang in there!
To those that gained....you'll do better next week. Just keep trying and it will all work out. ;)

Man, I'm glad I came across this thread. I'm working on sheding some pounds as well. Trying to eat better, practice portion control, walking on my thread mill & since Christmas working out with the Wii. :)
Is there a certain "weigh-in" day?
I had lost 10 lbs but I've been to afraid to check since the holidays. I'm going to weigh tomorrow morning. :confused:

Welcome pacarolinagirl ..... weigh in is usually on Thursday, but feel free to "report in" any time that works for you.
My DS got a wii for Christmas, one of these days I will break down and get a wii fit ... everyone seems to really enjoy it.
This has been a crazy day at work, once it settles down, I'm going to post my usual WOE.
I've gotten over not losing any weight, went to the gym yesterday and meet with the trainer tomorrow. (I think the "belly" is a little smaller, so maybe I'm "shrinking" :rolleyes:).

I am sorry I missed the Thurs. weigh in Belle.I was on a weigh in with you last year. I have trying to go down 5 pounds by the 1st of Feb. and I only lost 1 last week. Sooo, 4 more ...here I come! I will be happy with at least 2 more!Peg
