We are booked on the Westerdam 5/24/09. My dad has cabin F4122 on the upper promenade. It is supposed to have an unobstructed view. However, looking at the deck plans, there is a lifeboat just to the forward of the cabin. Does anybody know if this will obstruct his view?
Also, can the beds be moved apart so that he can stand at the window and look out? He was concerned when he saw the bed in front of the window.

It is classified as an Oceanview cabin and the beds can be separated so that the window access is available for standing at.

Also, I meant to say there is no obstruction of the window.

We were in a GG, and even with the beds together (parallel to the window) there was plenty room between the bed and window to stand and look out (and you really could see out when you did this, even in a "Fully obstructed").
The bed is not flush against the window, though it may appear that way in pictures. There is probably 2+ feet of space (enough that I was able to maeuver a large suicase under the bed from the window side.)
