Thinking of going on Westerdam. We have never ben on HAL. What time are the shows each night.

So if you have late dining forget the late show; you have to go to the early show or not at all. Suits some but not us

On a somewhat related note, are the shows kid-appropriate? We have early-upper dining, so may be able to catch some of the 7:00 p.m. shows, assuming the kids (3, 7, nearly 11) aren't wiped out from the day's activities.

We always have the 5:45 traditional dining -- in order to make the 7 PM we had to skip the appetizer and the dessert. So on the Westerdam we made it to 2 shows out of 16 days on her. On the Eurodam -- 14 days -- never saw a show.
The production shows and comedians, jugglers, etc. are all selected so that children can see them.

That is correct -- if you have the late dining time, you are to attend the 7 PM show.

Will the early show be finished in time for us to make the late dinning time?

Shows last about 45 minutes. Typically you need to dress for dinner before you go to the show. IMO new show times are awful. Much rather get dressed go for dinner and then show.
