How many lounge chairs are in the cabanas on the Lido Deck. The picture of the retreat shows 4.

I searched and read thru some posts but could not find the answer.

Thank you,

Bette

What ship and where on the lido deck are these found? And how much are they? Can I reserve or pre-pay for these ahead of time?

We're going on the Westerdam (our 1st HAL cruise) in April and would love to rent one of these ... it sorta reminds me of the public (and packed in) ones on the Gem ... but MUCH, MUCH nicer here ;)

Can't wait to hear your replies ...thanks!

Cabanas are a feature of HAL's newest ship, the Eurodam.

I don't know the prices but I can tell you that the price on a port day is cheaper than on a sea day.

Sorry -- the Westerdam does not have them.

Thanks for your replies.

I also called HAL ship services and was told that these are $199 for the week. And I would happily have paid that so I wouldn't have to fight for a chair by the pool ... but unfortunately they're not on the Westerdam :(

I'd be surprised if you have to fight for a chair by the pool. One doesn't often hear of chair hogs on HAL.

I'm so happy to hear that!

BTW, does anyone know if there is any seating by the pool that may be in the shade?

It really depends on the direction the ship is heading -- many people do not select the lounge chairs directly at the side of the pool -- they usually select the second row where they can move them to get some shade.

Remember -- as you are heading south -- the sun will be shining towards the starboard side and in the Lido area the port side is more protected because of the sliding roof. And of course it is the opposite as you head north.

Now you will have different sun direction as the ship goes east and west.

Select a lounge chair where you can move in and out of the sun.

Here is a bunch of information about the Lido and Retreat cabanas on Eurodam including price (by day and week), what amenities are included, etc.
