We are sailing on the Veedam Dec.11th. We are staying in Tampa the night before, and I was wondering if anyone knew about what time they start boarding the ship. Thanks.

If all goes smoothly with getting everyone off of the ship, it should start boarding about 11:30AM. We have had two experiences with boarding the Veendam in Tampa, and it has been 11:30 or so both times. Things are quite easy there. The drop off is right next to the door to the terminal, so you don't have to walk very far at all. If you drive and park, that's easy too. I have an album of pictures of the port area on the links in my signature. The pics at the Yahoo site haven't been named/captioned yet, but you can figure them out.

Susan....We are on that same ship from Tampa. Were you notified of a change in itinerary yesterday? I heard from others in my family that are also going, (as a surprise to me for my 50th birthday), that the route has been changed. My notification will be at my work email, so will get it tomorrow. I will wach for your reply hopefully this week.

We are also on that voyage and haven't heard about an itinerary change. It is too far off to relate to previous hurricane damage and the ports we are to visit weren't hit badly. Please post what you find out.

From my TA, received news of changes. Of Course i forgot to bring them home with me..but gist of it is..leave Tampa on Sat., arrive Key west Sun AM, 11:30 til about 6 p.m.. We do not go to Montego bay at all, not sure of the dates rightnow, but I believe from KW we head for Belize City and then onto Gautemala and then to a shortened visit in Cozumel.
I am sorry I forgot to print it and bring it home, so will post on here from work at lunch tomorrow exactly what i received. WE are supposed to be thrilled at getting an extra port..being Key West. I have asked whether there is to be a reimbursement as to port charges paid, but no answer yet.
Will keep you posted.

I just remembered, if you go to HA site and check the Veendam itinerary for Dec. 4 sailing, the Dec. 11 is identical now...according to my TA.

You are all right; the itinerary has changed.

I went to HAL's web site and then to booking shore excursions. the itinerary I found there is:

Key West
at sea
Belize
Santo Thomas
Cozumel
at sea

Oh well, I always wanted to see Belize. Now have to rethink the shore excursions. Actually we will probably take it easy and loaf.

Notified by TA that our cruise also changed. We are happy with the change.
