Hello. We're new to Azamara and have on hold Cabin 7010 on Journey's May 23rd sailing. I read on another thread that the laundrymat is on Deck 7 forward/portside. Can someone please verify if this cabin will be across the laundrymat and if so, does it present a problem with noise/traffic? Would Cabin 6022 be a better choice?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your quick response. It'll be a nice short walk to do laundry which "should" help us pack light! :D
What is across the hall from 7010 and would you consider 6022 a preferred location as it's slightly more midship?
Thanks.

If you are bothered by motion take deck 6 but then you will be over the lounge ....
I do not know what is across the hall but once the door to the cabin is shut you rarely hear anything

We've never been on a ship this small (well, not since 1978 on Song of Norway) and hope it's not gonna be too rough sailing. Neither of us are sensitive to the motion of the ocean so I think we'll be OK. We decided to confirm our booking and secured a slightly better location with 7018. I'm very, very excited about experiencing Azamara! :)

We are having our first cruise on the Journey 2/10. However, we sailed on the Tahitian Princess which is a sister ship of the Journey. We did a French Polynesia Cruise. Even though it is a smaller ship, we did not notice any more motion than we have experienced on the mega ships. IMHO size will not matter with the Journey. We had an aft cabin. I would enjoy another aft cabin. There was no more motion than midship.

No, I think that's a great location. You won't be affected by noise from the laundry room as access to the laundry room is from the hallway on the port side. I would be concerned though about the inside cabins that are next to the laundry room, or in port side cabins 7074, 76 & 78.
We were in 7088 and liked that location.

It has been reported that you do not hear any noise from the Laundry room once you are in your cabin

I think that only the inside cabins next to the laundry room would have problems ... not so much from noise from the machines, but from people talking and from the TV if the volume is turned up. There are signs in the laundry room which request something along the lines of "please keep the noise level to a minimum out of courtesy for the people in nearby cabins."
Those in the 3 balcony cabins that I mentioned in my post above would probably only be affected by noise when entering or leaving the cabin, if there is a lot of activity in the laundry room, or the TV volume is turned up.
The laundry room is closed from about 10 p.m. until 9 a.m., so no worries about nighttime noise.
dundalkspur: You're welcome ... have a great trip!:)
