These boards are dangerous ......

I don't know about the rest of you, but I find that when I get on these boards, the rest of my life stops! I put everything else on hold because I can't stop reading and/or I want to post replies.

That's the main reason I have to stay off and you won't see me for a while! I have other things that I must do or that I want to do!

It must have something to do with my "cruise addiction" problem that I am trying to handle! :D

I totally agree, here I am at work and I have spent most of the day on these boards. Could it have something to do with the fact that 4 weeks from right now I will be sitting on the Ryndam:D Actually it is a slow Saturday so it helps to pass the time till I get out of here which should be shortly:p

In all seriousness, I find that these boards are part of my daily life and have been for the past year. I feel like everyone on here has become friends and DH andI talk about what is going on, on the HAL Boards like we are talking about what has happened at work.

These boards aren't dangerous.

The fact that I have projects at work that I haven't started because doing them would interfere with reading the boards won't be dangerous until I get caught. That's still a few weeks yet.
The fact that my wireless router isn't working right and I have to connect on the breezeway won't be dangerous until it's freezing cold out here. That's still a few weeks yet.

Come back soon, LoveLife. Some of us will still be here---unemployed and freezing, but here nonetheless. :D

I don't find these boards to be "dangerous." However, I do they can be time consuming. I must admit that I don't read every post. I read those where I think the topic might interest me. I have run into a great number of nice people on this board.

I have a timer next to my PC. I had to get it because I was sitting way too long reading and reading. Sometimes I use the microwave one in the Kitchen so I have to get up and turn it off. That means I've been sitting way too long.:rolleyes:

I hear ya... I spent a great deal of time on this board prior to our zuiderdam cruise / May 03...then once we booked our fall 04 cruise...I found myself drawn to this site daily. I also visit other sites to see what's up..but this site by far has friendly folk, ok, who may squabble once in awhile, but they also have a wealth of knowledge that they are very gracious about shairing with all of us. Also tip my hat to CC entire site..they change information often and share great information..also have a very good trip report area.

LoveLife, I hear you 100%. A few days ago I posted a thread asking was I addicted to cruising or to the CC boards. I've been able to cut back considerably by eliminating my email notifications which were making it impossible for me to keep up. Now I just take a look from time to time throughout the day to see new posts. I really enjoy it.

This has become a new part of my daily life for the past 6 months and I've "met" some fabulous people here. DH asked me if it might be a "problem" ... I've decided it's not:D .

I Also Check Daily Sometime 2-3 Times Early Am ,mid Afternoon, Later At Nite, Its A Daily Dose For Me And I Don't Think Its A Problem For Me I Enjoy Talking To Everyone We All Seem To Have The Same Addiction And Understand Each Other, My Own Family Doesn't Understand Why But It My Time To Relax And Enjoy The Talk And Enjoy The Cruise With Pax Who Check In While On A Cruise, Heres To My Addiction!!!!!:)
